About the Creator

Hi, I'm Kayleigh — the creator behind Wild Cherub.

Wild Cherub grew from a love of making things that feel personal, playful and a little bit wild. I'm a Belfast-based artist, a mummy to two brilliant children, and someone who's always found comfort and expression in creating. Art has become a way for me to hold onto myself through all the messy, beautiful parts of life — motherhood, co-parenting, queerness, healing, and figuring things out as I go.

I'm originally from Musselburgh in Scotland, and my roots there will always be a huge part of me. Every time I go home, something shifts — I feel calmer, more inspired, and more connected to myself. There's something about being back by the coast that makes the ideas flow again.

But Ireland, and the North in particular, has also become a huge part of my heart. It's where I'm raising my children, where our everyday life is, and where so much of Wild Cherub has started to grow. My kids speak Irish, and I feel so proud that the language and culture are such a big part of who they are. That mix of Scottish roots, Irish life, motherhood and creativity is woven into everything I make.

My dream is for Wild Cherub to become more than just a brand. One day, I'd love to have a studio space where people can come in, make things, learn, experiment, have a cuppa, chat, and create alongside me. Somewhere real, welcoming and community focused — a place where creativity doesn't have to be perfect or polished, just honest.

Wild Cherub is a reflection of all of those parts of me — the playful, the emotional, the chaotic, the tender. It's a space for colour, creativity, handmade pieces and real-life art that feels full of personality rather than perfection.

Thanks for being here and supporting something so personal to me.
